2011 Penfolds Grange Bin 95 Shiraz. Both bottles come with a presentation case.
The 2011 Penfolds Grange is made from 100% shiraz with fruit sourced from vineyards located in The Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and from Magill Estate. Matured in new American Oak for 17 months and comes in at 14.5% alc/vol.
2011 was a fairly difficult vintage. Careful management in the vineyard including canopies ensured sufficient light penetration into the fruit zones. Rain was often isolated which enabled Penfolds to secure fruit from their vineyards that was in excellent condition.
Probably not regarded as one of the best Grange’s but it wouldn’t have been bottled and labeled 2011 Penfolds Grange if it wasn’t up to standard.
